More SGB busy-ness

Lots going on in regards to the Sean Gallagher Band...

This past weekend, the SGB played for Enid First Assembly's Block Party. The entire church and a lot of the local community came out for free food and games and we had a lot of fun playing some of our favorite cover songs for them, including some Eric Clapton and John Mayer. Here's a photo of us on stage. Thanks to Kalyn Barrick for stepping in to help us on bass!

Yesterday we had a photo shoot with Dawn Muncy from Muncy Photography. Here's a quick picture of Hector showing off his favorite vest. Dawn's photos will be used in the next edition of E-Town Magazine, a local Enid publication, where she is a regular contributor. Taking the photos was a great experience. We got to work in a very nice studio space and Dawn is a true professional. Watching her attention to details like framing and lighting and seeing some of her other work, I can tell the photos are going to turn out really great. Look for them in the next issue of E-Town and of course take some time to read the article on the Sean Gallagher Band.

This coming weekend for Labor Day, Hector and I will be taking some Enid friends to visit Albuquerque. We are all really excited about the trip. Hector and I never get to go home enough and it'll be a lot of fun to share some of our hometown with some Oklahomans (oh yeah, and a Brit). I'm sure there will be some green chile tasting, sightseeing in Old Town, coffee and dessert from Flying Star, and maybe even a ride in the tram. We'll see how much we actually get to do but either way it'll be fun.

While Hector and I are chowing down on some green chile cheeseburgers, Sean will still be hard at work promoting the band. He'll be performing at the release of an E-Town offshoot, UnCensored Magazine, at Scribner's Gallery & Studio. It'll be on Friday, September 3rd starting at 7pm. If you're in town, Sean will be playing from 8 to 9 so stop in to check it out.

And did I mention we're almost ready to release our debut album? So much going on!!
