It was a really awesome night. It's been awhile since the Sean Gallagher Band has really had a chance to flow together in worship and it felt great. In fact, the whole day was a glimpse into what I'm looking forward to in the future. The entire day was pretty packed tight. It went something like this:
- 7:30AM - Wake up, get dressed, load all the guitar and drums equipment
- 9:00AM - Arrive at OBA, unload and set up all the equipment
- 10:00AM - Played for OBA chapel
- 10:45AM - Tear down, load equipment AGAIN, go to church, unload equipment AGAIN, set up AGAIN
- 11:30AM - Surprise birthday lunch
- 1:00PM - Work
- 6:00PM - Sound check, last minute song addition
- 7:00PM - CRAM Night
- 9:00PMish - Tear down equipment AGAIN, load up AGAIN, take it home to unload AGAIN, oh AND a birthday party
So it was a pretty crazy busy night. By the time I finally lay down for bed my legs were killing me from all the loading and unloading but even with all the work I am really grateful I have the opportunity to do what I'm doing right now. This is why I left Albuquerque in the first place. I didn't leave just to record and release a CD but also to lead others in worship for a chance to experience God in a deep and transformative way. Last night was a great example of that and if you have a chance I would love it if you would watch the video and hopefully get a glimpse of what I am doing out here in Enid and let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks.
