I am super excited to head back home. I've definitely been missing some home cooking. I picked up a really bad habit of eating out a lot lately and now there is nothing left in the refrigerator but a bottle of mustard and half bottle of ketchup since I stopped buying groceries.
Thanksgiving can't come fast enough.
Turkey. Of course.
Mashed potatoes. With gravy or red chile depending on my mood.
Stove Top stuffing. Has to be Stove Top.
Pumpkin pie. With tons of whipped cream.
It's going to be a great Thanksgiving meal.
This year I'm attempting to recreate a butternut squash pie recipe I made before. This year I'm going to try it with phyllo dough for an extra challenge that will probably prove more than I can handle but I'm willing to try.
As long as I'm in Albuquerque with family it will all be good.
