Some things that are happening (in no particular order):
Storm season is well upon us. Tornados have already tore through cities and town in Oklahoma and nearby states. I've already had to hunker down in the basement at work once while the sirens went off. Fortunately, Enid has avoided any tornados but I try to stay up-to-date on the weather every day.
David Crowder*Band is preparing for their final tour. This has turned out a lot more bothersome to me than I first realized. DCB has been around for about as long as I've been playing worship music. They've been influencing modern worship for over ten years now and I realize they've had a huge impact on me both as a worship musician and a worshipper. I'm hoping to catch them one last time when they visit Dallas later this year (if anyone wants to join me).
24-Hour Blogathon planning is in full swing. The warm-up show is this Friday. We'll give people a chance to preview the live music and poetry and we'll get to test out the video stream. I'll have a video channel set up on the blog here on Friday for you to watch or you can also catch it on Facebook or through this link: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/live-24-hour-blogathon
I'm growing a beard. Actually, it's more like scruff and it's in anticipation of one the highlights of the Blogathon. I'll be getting a straight razor shave from a brand new shop in town - BlueJay's Barber Shop and Beauty Bar. It's opening the same weekend as the Blogathon right next door to The Felt Bird. It's got a crazy awesome 50's barber shop interior and the owner's a pretty awesome guy. We'll have live video going when I sit down for my first straight razor shave. It should be interesting!
Alright, that's it for now. I've got to finish drafting up a press release for the Blogathon!
