The next morning - remembering the Road Trip Blogathon

This morning was quite the wake-up call to reality from the insane, non-stop action that is a Blogathon. And despite getting home by midnight and falling asleep around 1 a.m., I set my alarm for 7 a.m. this morning and only had to use the snooze button once!

I was quite groggy this morning, not quite on the level of The Hangover, but it did take a minute for my whereabouts to click in this morning. I woke up with a shiver from a house just a couple of degrees too cold and walked over the turn up the thermostat.

Then I turned toward the bathroom and noticed an eerie green glow emanating from inside. As much confused as concerned, I poked my head in only to realize it was one of the glow sticks that Lyndsay found in the parking lot during our final stop in Bricktown.

So I walked in, flipped the light switch and did a double take as I saw a black-ink tattoo on my right arm. For about 5 seconds this morning I had a What did I do last night? moment before I remembered getting a temporary tattoo at No Regrets during the Blogathon.

And all morning while getting ready I relished in all of the fresh memories as they came to mind.

As I brushed my teeth, I remembered spending the morning with everyone eating biscuits and gravy at Wee Too. While I got dressed, I recalled strolling in and out of each unique shop in the Plaza District. As I grabbed my wallet and keys I thought about each delicious meal we enjoyed together. And as I sit here sipping on bland corporate coffee, I'm wishing I had a Coffee Slingers barista serving up some latte art or a small French Press brewing Elemental Coffee like I had with my gelato at The Wedge Pizzeria.

And those are only small bits and pieces of everything we did and as the week goes on I'll share more in detail about the places we visited, the food we ate and the people we met. So look for more Blogathon updates here on Follow Eric cause they are not over...
