Well, it's officially the end of day one of the Tulsa Blogathon.
We started out at Dust Bowl Lanes & Lounge, munching on the tater tot bar for the Manly Food Happy Hour presented by the Tulsa Food Guy. After some tots, we got a lane and bowled a friendly game.
One of the cool things about Dust Bowl is it's very vintage vibe and the fact that you get to track your own score manually. Thankfully, we had a Blogathon crew member who is quite schooled in the ways of bowling. Literally. Abby has taken the classes to prove it. Here's her handiwork from tonight's game.
We still had some time and energy to burn after that so we walked across the street to The Max Retropub. It was originally in our game plan for Saturday but figured we may as well knock it out while we had the chance.
It was actually a lot of fun to be in an arcade-themed bar with a bunch of friends. We had a friendly but competitive round of skee-ball and took some really fun photos. You'll get to see all of the photos from Jess ReNae Photography in the coming recaps once we've got the Blogathon all wrapped up.
All in all, a really fun-filled first night. I should definitely get to bed now. We've got to get up at 7AM tomorrow to get ready in time for some breakfast at Blue Dome Diner before heading on down to Runner's World for the St. Patrick's Day Run.
Wish me luck on the 5K! I'll need all the encouragement I can get!
