Exploring El Paso - Kinley's House

Greetings from El Paso! It's been a great first day of exploration. I didn't have much of a set plan when I woke up this morning but by the end of the day, I had found a good deal of local businesses here in this border town.

The day started off on a great note with the discovery of a fantastic local cafe. I began my morning with a true caramel macchiato at Kinley's House Coffee and Tea.

Kinley's knows how to do a good macchiato. Somebody needs to show the Starbucks next door that a caramel macchiato is not espresso drowning in milk and caramel.

Kinley's House itself was very inviting. The outdoor seating looked great but I opted to stay inside, where a plethora of seating and electrical outlets awaited. I immediately felt right at home.

In fact, I stayed long enough to order up some lunch. Although the BLT with avocado sounded pretty good, I was more intrigued by their selection of sandwich crêpes.

Not sure what to expect, I ordered a Philadelphia Turkey -- turkey and cream cheese on a bed of mixed greens drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette all wrapped up in a crêpe.

The crêpe was dang good and you better believe I downed every last bite. In fact, it makes me want to go back and try one of their dessert crêpes.

If you ever find yourself in El Paso, I'd suggest you try Kinley's, too.
