Local Lunches - Gedunk Food Truck

In my never-ending quest for local eats, there's one source I can always fall back on for a fun, local meal: food trucks.

Food trucks are awesome because you can find them all over town, including places you might not normally find yourself. They're also good because you always know you're eating from a locally-owned business. Heck, your food was probably prepared by the owner's hands.

That's the case with Gedunk Food Truck.

Today, Gedunk was parked in the lot of Talin Food Market -- a place I'm subsequently adding to my need-to-visit list.

I saw them advertising some Chipotle Chili Sliders on Facebook, so I knew right away what I wanted to try today. Although when I got there and saw Gourmet Mac-N-Cheese on the menu, I knew I'd have to come back another time.

As for the sliders, they were tasty little bites. Not quite as spicy as I expected but packed with plenty of smoky/sweet flavor.

There are plenty of sit-down restaurants where you can get sliders but I think they're perfect little bites to enjoy out of a food truck. I've got to give a shout-out to Tom from Olo Yogurt Studio who kept me company while we enjoyed our sliders in shade provided in front of Gedunk.

If you want to try Gedunk Food Truck for yourself, follow them on Facebook where they post where they're going to be post and special upcoming menu items.
