I love big street parties. Shutting down entire blocks for pedestrian traffic, food trucks pumping the air with fresh fare, vendors hocking their wares, live music blasting from one end to the other.
That was roughly the scene in Nob Hill this past Saturday for Summerfest.
It was a great time and if you missed it, you missed out. Here are some highlights.
Big, big crowds turned out. The rows and rows of cars on display are always a big hit.
ABQ Trolley Co. was on hand to offer free rides from one end of the party to the other. I, on the other hand, traversed the entire length of Summerfest on foot a total of six times. My feet hated me for it.
Music plays an integral part of any successful street party. Luckily, there were plenty of musicians on hand to entertain.
Food trucks lining up along Central -- a beautiful sight!
Speaking of beautiful sights (and smells), this gigantic pan of paella was attracting lots of onlookers at Scalo Northern Italian Grill.
