I can be very picky about the cafes I choose to visit. If I'm going to frequent a coffee shop, it's gotta meet my high standards. Luckily, Java Joe's met and exceeded my expectations. Here's how they did it...
1. Bottomless Cups of Coffee
Also, I occasionally opt for an espresso soda -- an interesting concoction of espresso, cream, soda water and your choice of vanilla, almond or coconut.

2. Daily Specials and Good Food
I'm indecisive by nature. Hand me a menu chock full of options and I'm instantly overwhelmed. So I like a place that takes the time to highlight a special for the day. Because nine times out of ten, that's what I'll end up ordering.
It might seem like a small thing but to anyone who's ever booted a laptop in a cafe only to hit a wall understands the importance here.
4. The X-Factor
A cafe can have everything right and still be missing that certain je ne sais quoi. It can be different in each situation but I think one thing Java Joe's has going for it is a love of art and culture. It's evident in the canvasses hanging on the inside and the giant mural covering the walls outside. The occasional musical guest also boosts the atmosphere. It makes Java Joe's the kind of place where I find myself spending hours on end writing, reading and drinking copious amounts of coffee.
