As you know, I'm always on the lookout for new local coffee shops. They serve as workspaces for writing, gathering spots for socializing, and a source of fresh caffeine.
My search is ongoing and unending so there is some small wonder as to why it took me so long to get around to visiting Napoli Coffee.
For one, it's a little off the beaten path. By beaten path, I mostly refer to Central Avenue. But it's important to remember there are plenty of quality coffee shops all across Albuquerque.
Napoli Coffee is on Carlisle, just north of Menaul, tucked away behind a pair of Golden Arches. It's seclusion has a few benefits. For one, it's not subject to overcrowding like some of the other cafes in town. Another benefit is free and ample parking.
It's a good place to go to get away from some of the commotion common in other shops.
And they've got some great coffee at the ready.
If you're in for a sweet treat, they're prepared to tackle pretty much any flavor hankering you might have. It reminds me of Davinci's Coffeehouse in Enid, OK with their playfully named specialty drinks like Mocha Amore or Crazy Nut. I think I enjoyed ordering a Pirate Latte as much as drinking one.
Anyway, if you're looking for a little seclusion or a sweet drink, my suggestion is Napoli Coffee.
