Recap - New Year's Eve Food Truck Fiesta

2013 is just a few days old and it was just that short time ago that I found myself partnered up with a gaggle of food trucks down in Nob Hill for the New Year's Eve Food Truck Fiesta hosted by Duke City Food Trucks.

It was as fun as it was cold outside as people worked their way among eight food trucks that night. We had Gedunk, Sebastiano's, The Supper Truck, Dia De Los TaKos, JoJo's Salsa Machine, Joanie & Art's Barbecue, Pequeño, and Conchita's Creations.

To make things a little more interesting, I organized a voting contest and put a People's Choice Award up for grabs for the truck that could garner the most support during the night. Tons of people came through to sign up for their voting token and choose their favorite truck.

And if you don't already know who the winner was, all you need to do is watch this video:

I truly had a great time that night and I can't wait to do it again. Were you there? Let me know what you thought of the event. We're already talking about some future plans and I want to make each one better than the last!

Now this is new! As far as I know, new year's eve is most celebrated with firecrackers. I never thought that in some places, new year's eve is celebrated with a food truck fiesta.

I think a tow truck or a lifting machine can also be a new way of putting up a food truck. I guess it's fun serving the people in a more open space.

Just realized that you could create a business out of your own vehicle. It serves a double purpose to you, sounds interesting.
