I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I was raised in the South Valley, went to high school in the Northeast Heights, and volunteered at a church on the West Side of the city, which has all contributed to my varied outlook on life.
At age 21 I had the opportunity to move away from Albuquerque to, of all places, Enid, Oklahoma. In Enid, I had the opportunity to team up with the Sean Gallagher Band to work on a Christian worship album. The CD, Simple Words, finally release in October 2010, and can be found online at CD Baby.
While in Enid, I continued work on a little blog I had kept going since 2007 which eventually became Follow Eric. It’s starting to take form as just a little more than a side project, leading way to some opportunities to write for some local and online publications.
Writing continues to overtake my free time and I would love for it to develop into something more than a hobby. Time will tell. I will probably always see myself as a wannabe writer, musician, and Christian.
And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with some aspirations.
